• Snorkelling and swimming around the islets and beautiful coral shelves of Chole Bay
• Scuba diving on reefs in Chole Bay, on walls outside the Bay and along the south-eastern reefs

• Slide shows, are held in the evenings to complement the music centre, novels, magazines and the extensive library of books and articles on marine life, nature, history, archaeology, plants and gardening, design and decoration
• Outdoor games available:
• The Pavilion is our reception and entertainment centre, with antique snooker/billiards table, satellite television and video and board games and cards: bao, chess, drafts, backgammon, keram, painting
• There is a swimming pool and private beach at Kinasi (beach subject to tides)
• We also have a small gift shop with a range of essentials such as film, quality clothes, accessories, local crafts and jewellery

Other things to do...
At Kinasi we have developed many leisure activities for guests interested in different pursuits. While diving, snorkelling, fishing and other water sports usually dominate, there is a variety of excursions, picnics and other leisure activities available.
 
Library
We have a very good library with fiction, non-fiction and extensive references on history, archaeology, sociology, the mafia island marine park, and the natural world above and below the water in mafia.
 
For those interested in safari travel in Tanzania, design and decoration there is lots for you in the bookcase in the dining room.
 
Video and satellite television
For those who want to be in contact with the outside world there is a video/tv system in the pavilion. There are ten music channels also available.

Arranging your day...
All activities are arranged each evening for the next day and details will be posted on the notice board near the Cocktail Bar. Our Manager, Hospitality Managers and the Dive Instructor will circulate and discuss activities with guests on arrival and each afternoon at tea.

There are no restriction on taking photographs in Mafia but if you wish to take photos that will include local people please ask their permission first. Some people may refuse, so please accept their desire for privacy.
